Individualized Program

My program specializes in infant to preschool ages only. I'm looking for full time, long term parents who are looking for consistent quality care in a loving nurturing environment. I am licensed for 8 children, but choose to care for a small group of 4/5. I don't offer part time, drop offs, or school age children. I prefer to have the same children who will grow up like siblings in a stable caring environment. I believe in letting each child explore, play, and learn, based on their developmental, cognitive, and verbal skills.

Organic Hot Meals

Besides caring for children, I also love to cook and try out new recipes. No hot dogs, frozen, or canned foods here! Everything I provide is fresh, organic, and home-cooked by me. Children will be exposed to eating healthy nutritious meals and seasonal fruits daily. Such as:

Breakfast: hot oatmeal, fresh baked banana bread, french toast, waffles/pancakes, bagel w/ cream cheese, eggs (boiled, scrambled, omelet) turkey bacon, fresh fruit, and organic milk.

Lunch: Stews, baked meats, stir frys w/ rice, spaghetti w/ meat sauce, tofu, fried rice, panko chicken, garlic veggies, home made meatballs, chili, edamame, hummus, accompanied by fruit and milk.

Snacks: Veggie sticks (carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers w/hummus), string cheese, goldfish crackers, yogurt, dried fruit, fresh fruit, wheat/rice crackers, pretzels, raisins.

Treats: Occasionally, I bake cookies, granola bars, or muffins. However, I always modify the sugar by half or fat content by subtituting applesauce.

Daily Schedule

I don't have a set schedule since every child is a different age. I go by their individual needs. Babies change everyday based on sleeping, eating patterns, and development. My philosophy on raising infants to preschool age is to have routine and consistency. For example, we eat meals/snacks at a particular time, sit at the table while eating, learn how to communicate, share, say please/thank you, wash our hands, etc. I will discourage hitting, grabbing, screaming, pinching/biting, and throwing toys.

I do activities such as reading, puzzles, games, arts & crafts, coloring, singing songs, cooking, dancing. However, if a child or children does not want to participate and starts playing with toys, I'm perfectly fine with that.

Outings

Since I only care for a small group of children, I am able to take them on regular outings when weather permits. We usually go to the library for storytime, and visit different local parks weekly.

All children are buckled safely in carseats, and are transported in my van.

Children are encouraged to run, play, scream, and have fun outdoors in the sun. We also have lunch picnics and water play when we are out and about.
